Sending 1 billion files a month

29 March 2017

Here at Hi-Pix we send a lot of photos to a lot of different people. It’s not quite 1 billion/month (which is WeTransfers normal volume) but it is quite a few gigabytes of data. We have been using WeTransfer for about 3 years and it has been working faultlessly (I hope that has not jjinxed anything), with a few clicks the data is uploaded and our client receives a simple email with a ‘link to click on’ to download the photos.

The great thing is, we can get the photos onto the clients desk literally minutes after we have finished processing them. By simply forwarding the WeTransfer email, the client can send the link to whoever else may need the photos, as they will be able download the files the same way. These links work for a year so it is always possible to go back and download the pictures at a later date or pick them up on a different machine.

Don't worry if more than a year has gone by, just give us a call, we have our own archive keeping your photos safe. WeTransfer have a free version of the file transfer program that works just as well as the subscription version. If you want to give it a try go to www.wetransfer.com. For large files WeTransfer is far easier than emailing attachments, and it works for any sort of file, including videos.
